Pune : The Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT), India’s apex automotive regulatory institution under MoRTH, today marked a landmark moment as Dr. Devendra Singh, Director, CIRT, led a senior delegation to meet the Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari, who formally inaugurated CIRT’s Diamond Jubilee Year (2026\u201327) and unveiled its Diamond Jubilee Logo.<\/p>\n
The Diamond Jubilee marks 60 years of CIRT’s service since its founding in 1967. Celebrations run September 2026 to September 2027, honouring the milestone and reaffirming CIRT’s commitment to the future of mobility.<\/p>\n
\u201cEnsuring Safer & Secure Mobility\u201d : The Diamond Jubilee Logo carries the theme \u201cEnsuring Safer & Secure Mobility\u201d, reflecting CIRT’s enduring mandate and its continued focus on road safety, secure transportation, technological innovation and future-ready mobility solutions.<\/p>\n
The CIRT delegation received by the Hon’ble Minister comprised: Dr. Devendra Singh \u2013 Director, CIRT, Shri Shekhar Dhole \u2013 Head, Technical Secretariat, Shri Farukh Makhdoom \u2013 Head, Automotive Cybersecurity, Shri Umesh Suryawanshi \u2013 Head, Research & Consultancy<\/p>\n
During the meeting, the delegation formally invited the Hon’ble Minister to visit CIRT, Pune, for the Diamond Jubilee’s formal inauguration and its planned events through 2026\u201327. A formal invitation letter, along with a framed invitation, was presented to Shri Nitin Gadkari on the occasion.<\/p>\n
