The Covid-19 pandemic has brought back the focus on the necessity for healthcare reforms in the country. The global pandemic has created the need for a self-reliant medical infrastructure healthcare system in the country. To create an effective forum, which will bring together the stakeholders and policymakers to pioneer disruptive reforms in the healthcare ecosystem towards making India self- reliant, MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) along with the Vishwaraj Hospital and the MIT-WPU School of Pharmacy today announced the World Health Parliament (WHP) 2021.<\/p>\n

The four-day virtual conference will have ten sessions starting from\u00a021st\u00a0to 24th January 2021\u00a0and the theme of the conference is:\u00a0Pioneering Disruptive Reforms in the Healthcare Ecosystem and Atmanirbhar Bharat. The objective of the conference is to create an effective forum to discuss the measures to overhaul the healthcare ecosystem by enriching the research and medical education and by improving the capability and augmenting the healthcare facilities.<\/p>\n

<\/a>The conference will witness dignitaries like Rajesh Tope – Minister of Health, Govt. of Maharashtra, Mumbai,\u00a0Amit Deshmukh,\u00a0Hon\u2019ble Minster of Medical Education, Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Maharashtra, Guardian Minister, Latur,\u00a0Dr. Sanjay Oak, Chairman of Taskforce for COVID-19, Govt. of Maharashtra,\u00a0Dr. Tatyarao Lahane –\u00a0Padma Shri, Director, Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER), State of Maharashtra & Head, Maharashtra State’s AYUSH Task Force,\u00a0Dr. Anbumani Ramdoss\u00a0– Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha, Former Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India,\u00a0Dr. Mani Kumar Sharma\u00a0– Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Sikkim,\u00a0Dr. Praveen Togadia\u00a0\u2013 Renowned Cancer Surgeon, President Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad, Founder, Hindustan Nirman Dal, Former International Working President, Vishva Hindu Parishad, Naba Kishore Das – Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Odisha\u00a0along with the other dignitaries.<\/p>\n

The challenges faced by the healthcare ecosystem and administrators in the face of this pandemic are unprecedented.<\/p>\n

Karad \u2013 Managing Trustee & Executive President, MAEER\u2019s MIT and Executive President, MIT World Peace University, said,\u00a0\u201cCurrently, India is on its new journey of being ‘Atmanirbhar’ or self-reliant.
